You still have your basic skills--you're probably more proficient than you
think. Practice enough to gain some confidence, then seek out a band,
orchestra or ensemble. Not long ago there was a series of messages about how
to find a community band in your area. I'm sure Mark can help you locate
them if you don't know how.

I've been playing again for about three years after a 20-year hiatus. I
didn't realize how much I missed it until I picked up the instrument and
started to practice. Playing with a group is the "icing on the cake."

I have a friend who emigrated from Russia in 1992. If you would be
interested in corresponding with him, send me a message off line, and I'll
give him your e-mail address.
