Mark is right on the money.

The Buffet E-11 is thought, by many, to represent a very good value amongst
reasonably priced (new) clarinets. In fact, rumors abound, that some
professionals choose to play the E-11 over professional grade instruments
like the R-13.

The E-11 features silver keys, and many other (UPGRADED) features that many
have come to associate with professional-level instruments.

The lowest price I have seen of late has been around $570 in the (catalogue)
mail-order houses, but once you get down to swapping the mouthpiece
out/buying a VanDoren 2RV or 5RV and paying for shipping --- plan on
spending $625 and up.

Good luck.

Mark Weinstein.
