Here are two more works that have me sitting right on the edge of my seat
hoping that no member of the audience is going to applaud too soon
at the end!!
Sibelius 5th Symphony with five sudden chords preceding the final cadence
and Walton's 1st Symphony with seven groups of staccato chords.
I wish composers would not do this. It is nearly as a worrying as a
Czech or Russian string quartet playing from memory!
