Much of our exhisting rep in the DR JAZZ band isimprovised, and "arranged" committed to memory.
This bulk of the rep. consists of about 100 tunes.
Some of this has been worked out and written
(scribbled out) as a working reference only.
One day I may publish some of it in a legible form.

The reason for the quotes around "need" is to ward
off critics that think jazz should be improvised only.
We have lots of rep. but it would be an interesting addition
to thow in some actual lifts from some of the original bands
here and there.
