I used to use EZO--and still do if I forget to switch my tooth-thingy to the
right instrument case. I had my dentist make a couple of thin plastic tooth
shields that have lasted for years. Helps a great deal when you have ugly,
uneven teeth.

Lots of players use these. I got the idea from a magazine article (an old
Clarinet maybe?) in which Rosario Mazzeo described his.
