Klarinet Archive - Posting 000148.txt from 1999/07

Bill:
Thanks for the tip. You can bet I'll have a Plexiglas sheet at least the
height and width of the stand for our next outdoor concert!
One of the pieces we played was a five page tri-fold that required three page
turns. Unclipping and turning the pages required some real coordinated
effort between me and my stand mate. Luckily we had a minimum of four
measures rest to get the pages turned. Before the performance, the wind
actually overturned a stand (clarinet parts naturally) and we had to scramble
to collect and rearrange the music in program order.
Two other brief notes:
In rereading my post I saw that I had misspelled "amphitheater." I really
need to remember to run spell check before sending anything out.
Also, at least two of my fellow band members are Klarinet subscribers, who
I'm sure are experiencing post-performance euphoria along with me.
Thanks again. May your days be long upon the earth!
Jim B.
