I rehearsed the 1812, on Clarinet, with one community band, but I ended up
doing a 4th concert with another one. We just played "The Stars and
Stripes Forever". Unfortunately, I mentioned that I play percussion and
I ended up playing Drum Set, because their regular Percussionist was not
going to be able to make the concert. I may have gotten some Big Band gigs out of it,
but I would rather play Clarinet in Concert Bands. I played Sousa marches enough,
on percussion, during my 10 years in the Air Force.
