Aaron Hayden mentioned the David Weber had recorded the Overture on Hebrew
Themes with the Carnegie Sextet. I had another look at the web site and
there is a copy of the Overture on the disc. It mentions all the individual
players but not a name for the group as a whole. It does say that it was
recorded in 1946. For anybody who might be interested I will list what else
is on the disc:

Les Grands Maitres de la Clarinette Vol2 - David Weber

Cahuzac - Arlequin (rec 1978)
Glazanov - The Seasons - fragment (rec 1950)
McDowell - Woodland's Sketches (rec 1953)
Penderecki - 3 Minatures (1978)
Poulanc - Sonata for Clarinet and Bassoon (1950)
Poulanc - Sonata for Clarinet and Piano (1960)
Prokofiev - Overture on Hebrew Themes (1946)
Schumann - Fantasie Stucke (1969)
Spohr - 6 Lieder - Alice Howland-Soprano (1960)

Though I have no affiliation with the company that have produced the CD, I
am always interested in hearing other Clarinet players, especially from an
era past.

Hope this is interesting to someone. Take care all,
Rod
