I=B4d like to pass on my thoughts on a few recent matters which have be=
en
discussed and somehow they all kind of relate to each other-

Saxophone - I=B4m a saxophone player who has been lucky enough to have =
had (and
still have) a great teacher and we=B4ve worked on all the recently disc=
ussed sax
problems in the past, but I=B4m self taught on clarinet-(I hope that doe=
sn`t offend
anybody) and there is definetly a difference in the embouchure of both
instruments.I=B4d recommend anybody who wants to improve on sax to go a=
nd get some
lessons.I think tenor is the "easiest" to start with.

Doubling-I can recommend a book published by Dorn Publications called I=
mprove
Your Doubling by Chris Vadala which presents pieces for sax, clarinet an=
d flute
(tripling?) and works on the various difficulties of each instrument.

Technique books/Pain-Also published by Dorn is a book called Clarinet W=
arm-ups
and also Saxophone Warm-ups which not only deal with the musical
aspects but start with physical warm-ups ,stretching etc. (nothing too
strenuous) to minimise the risk of injury.
