Preufer, Gustav Franz (b Saxony 1861; d Providence, RI 1951) Company from
1882-1950. from c1920 VP of Penzel & Muller, many Preufer instruments built
at the Penzel & Muller plant.
Patents: 1895 (US) #545610 - clarinet of vulcanized rubber over wood, 1931
(US) #1801690 - metal-lined tube for woodwinds.
