Presuming the question is genuine . . . the ReedDual is a sophisticated
machine designed to replicate reeds is a fashion not unlike the way a key
is duplicated at a hardware store. Your "perfect" reed is placed upon a
table where its shape, etc., will be followed by a guide which ensures
(supposedly) that the reed blank gets cut exactly as the original. It
takes some time and effort to learn how to run the machine. My impression
is that many players have neither the time, patience, nor inclination to
achieve that level of expertise on the machine. Several years ago, there
was a presentation about this machine at one of the summer ClarinetFest's,
showing many of the fine points of achieving success with it.
