Yes, when the ambient humidity is low (winter, heating season, which
dries things out). I've never had a bug problem - maybe Shadow Cat has
fleas ;-)

One of my repair techs suggested orange peels in preference to a Dampit,
because he felt the Dampit was too "wet" and had the potential to rust
springs, etc. Also liked the oils in the orange peel better. Me too.
