My experience with DEFT WOOD FINISH is entirely different. When we remodeled
our kitchen, about four years ago, the people who did the cabinets used DEFT.
We have to refinish the ones around the dishwasher and the sink because of the
frequent exposure to water there (the dishwasher gives off a lot of steam).
The kitchen is under normal use and we haven't had any major leaks or
floods. In some places, the veneer on the edges of the plywood doors
has cracked and peeled off. I think the damage began showing up two years ago.
If this material can't stand up to normal use in a kitchen, I do not think it
would hold up to the condensation that occurs within a clarinet bore.

No offense intended, just my experience. Of course, subject to further
evaluation and experimentation.
