does anyone have a clue as to what make/model bass clarinet is

My guess would be that it's an Amati. They're currently sold new by The
Woodwind & The Brasswind. I tried an Amati low-C bass clarinet on trial a few
years ago, because of the very favorable price. Frankly, it stunk. The
workmanship was lousy, the inside bore was rough, and it played very stuffy and
out of tune. I was out $60 for round-trip shipping. Beware!
