An aside, for those teachers who have students or know of students who'd
like to study jazz:

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp has a _very_ good jazz program taught by some
recognized jazz artists and is considerably less money that Interlochen
(it's a 2 week program, though, not 4 or 8 week). I've listened to the
student jazz bands over there for a few years, and all of them ended up
pretty good. My middle son attended the jazz classes last year, loved them,
and will be going back again this year (he plays piano and (ack! gag!)
trumpet :^)
