One of the best technique books that I have used, is the Eugene Gay method.
It is very methodical and it addresses many of the problems of playing
evenly and precisely and getting rid of the bleeps between notes. The
books are very repetitious and also pricey, especially book 2 , but worth
it. Unfortunately the books are written in French. The books also have
many tonguing exercises, if used correctly, it will greatly improve
tonguing.
