Dee brings up an interesting point about the two temperature scales being
equal at negative 40 degrees. Using the commonly accepted conversion
formulas, it's easy to forget whether to add or subtract 32, and whether to
multiply before or after the adding or subtracting. Here is a formula, based
on -40, that eliminates the guesswork:

'F' represents the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit.

'C' represents the temperature in degrees Celsius (centigrade).

To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit:

F = (C + 40) *9/5 - 40

To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius:

C = (F + 40)*5/9 - 40

I hope someone finds this useful. If so, share it with your friends.

Regards to all,

Jim B.
