TWO TIPS FOR KEEPING HANDS WARM...

1. Take a cheap pair of knit gloves and cut off the fingers (of the gloves)
at the middle knuckle. These fingerless gloves can help keep your hands warm
while you play.

2. You can also buy thermal gel packs that generate heat when you activate
them. They produce enough heat to last for at least 20 minutes. And you can
"recycle" the heat packs by boiling them in water; this process converts the
gel back into liquid form. The packs are small enough to fit in your clarinet
case or pocket.
