I wouldn't play a wooden horn outside below about 55 degrees, unless I was
getting paid an awful lot of money!! If you can get your hands on a decent
plastic horn, it's probably not a bad idea.

I play in the Army Band at West Point, and we march with Yamaha plastic
clarinets with Buffet wooden barrels and good mouthpieces, and they don't
sound half bad.
