You might want to look for a Vandoren reed clipper, though beware! - it's
a good bit more expensive than a Cordier. Cordier (and the others like
it) get dull very fast, and crush the reed fibers as they clip them,
affecting the sound of the reed. The Vandoren uses a replaceable curved
blade to cut the reed tip. This mimics the process of double reed
players, who cut the tips of their reeds with **very** sharp knives, to
avoid crushing the fibers.

When I make my reeds, believe it or not I hand shape the tip of each
reed. That allows me to match the shape of the tip of my mouthpiece,
something a Vandoren reed does not do, and most reed clipper do not do
either.
