I'd rather have a new Vito or Yamaha (even if it is plastic) than a used
Selmer, let alone a Selmer Bass Clarinet in bad shape. A new Vito or Yamaha
would be about $800-$1000 from US Mail Order. I know there are also some
mail order places with good prices out of the UK. They'll also ship
internationally and the shipping isn't that bad. So I'd say $2000 for a
used Selmer in bad shape is a terrible deal.
