Subj: [kl] An interesting new commission

Today, the Lincoln center chamber players announced that, next season,
a 1920's silent movie called "The Golem" will be shown as part of
its chamber music series and Betty Olivero will compose a work for
clarinet and string quartet to be played while the movie is being shown.
David Krakauer and the Arditti string quartet will execute.

Clever idea! Let's see if the piece is a good one but the idea is
terrific. It will, of course, be klezmer in style.
