This may seem like a strange question. I've been inspiring many of my
students by filling a tape with the music of their instrument. For
trombonists, I fill a tape with music featuring trombones in every
different genre I could find, including at least big band jazz, small combo
jazz, "classical" settings, and rock & roll. I have finally had a
clarinetist bring in a blank tape. I have no problem with most genres, but
my students would all like to hear at least some rock music on their tape.
I know some old Adrien Belew has bass clarinet, an old King Crimson song has
some clarinet, and some Frank Zappa has a bit (although inappropriate
language prevents me from using it). Can anyone point me in the right
direction for some prominent rock and roll clarinet?
