I don't know why you are surprised with that ad. All you need to do is
open a current WW&BW catalogue and you can buy an ash tray holder for
your music stand. I wonder how many of those they have actually sold
lately. LOL

Which edition, and page is that on? The thing that was the most unusual of
the ad was that it was in Sports Illustrated. I remember taking an audition
with the US. Navy Band back in the 80's (Washington) that a guy in the
waiting room was smoking, I asked him to please put it out, he didn't like
it, but did. Half hour later, he was one of the panelists (DOH). Got real
high marks from all but him. Still won the audition - and learned a
valuable lesson from it.
