Andy,

You will undoubtedly receive lots of good advice about your R13! My
contribution is that maybe adding a little extra oil to your R13's levers,
rods and pivot pins would help quieten things down. You should DEFINITELY go
with Cindy's suggestion. I've used it for a while and it makes a big
difference. Also, check that no bumper corks have been knocked off
accidentally.

Subject: [kl] mechanism

I've noticed that there are a lot of repairmen on this list. i recently
purchased a brand spanking new buffet r-13, and am very pleased with it. One

of the complaints that I have with it is the noise that the mechanism makes.

The action on some of the keys seems.....almost.too light ( for lack of a
better way to put it) some of the keys, especially the right hand b-natural
key make a lot of noise when depressed, and it also feels like that
particualr key has too much travel room on it. I realize that the key must
be
opened a certain distance for intonation reasons, but I don't like it. Is
there anything I or my repairman can do to fix this, or at least help it?
Andy
