There are also some too genteel lists (IMHO). A good discussion of early
music (theory, performance practice and instruments used) with quite
knowledgeable people had just gotten going on the earlyflute list, nothing
nearly as hot as many of the discussions here and certainly not a flame war,
when the head of the list asked that the discussion be halted because he had
so many people resign from the list, all upset that there was a "argument"
going on and too many posts!!
