This might apply to the obnoxious ego posturing that sometimes goes
on, but I owe a sincere debt to all of the contributions I've read on
the Klarinet list over the last six or seven years. After spending
several years fighting a losing battle for my young mother's life, it
was the continuous exposure to Klarinet which compelled me to sustain
any interest in music while dealing with the aftermath of my unhappy
situation. I could have easily left my clarinet performance degree
unfinished after those years away from the instrument. In my case,
the postings were -- and continue to be -- definitely for the bene-
fit of the recipient, regardless of their specific nature.
