You just described Andrew Litton of the Dallas Symphony
Orchestra. The man is a bona fide clown on the podium,
determined to empty out his sizable grab-bag of obnox-
ious physical gestures and antics before the final note
is played. I finally resolved to simply close my eyes
whenever in attendance at a DSO concert. It isn't too
far afield from hitting the delete key for bothersome
marching band threads.
