It's curious: Most singers would agree that standing is a
better posture for singing than sitting, and as a singer, I
can certainly tell the difference. I don't see why breath-
production should be different between singing and playing
single-reed instruments or flutes (though oboe is a different
matter), yet when playing clarinet, I don't notice a difference
in sound or the subjective feeling of breath support between
standing and sitting.
