For me, it would be the Arnold/MacConchy/Britten. The MacConchy
Concertinos are a rare example of something upstaging a Britten
coupling.

Not really, since they were both British (Stanford lived before Irish
independence). Also, it's not an uncommon coupling - I have the
Emma Johnson version on ASV, also with the 5 Bagatelles and
Stanford's 3 Intermezzi: all great stuff.
