To sit or stand! What does it matter? A very musical performance can be
played either way. I usually stand when I do recitals, but my last recital I
did Babin's Hillandale Waltzes.....for whatever reason, I could not play it
as well standing up so I chose to sit while I played the piece. I also sat
when I played the Messian's Abime des oiseaux.

What it comes down to, is play anyway that make you the most comfortable.
When I do Orchestra audition, I stand to play the solo (Mozart Concerto), but
sit for the excerpts.
