Gregory,

Yes.....people do it all the time. I sold my Kanter bass clarinet
mouthpiece for over $200, my Kaspar for $425, and several Bb soprano
mouthpieces for well over market value - sight unseen (no photos) and
without a return.

My set of 1960's Obrien mouthpieces (I had 5) went for about $90 average
each - with the last going for $112 (but the last one was probably the
best Obrien I ever tried - and I'm almost sorry I sold it!).
