First, let me say that I'm the one who sold the Ann-Arbor Kaspar on ebay for
$710. The bidding got a little higher than I expected, but it is a basic
economic principle that something is worth exactly what people are willing to
pay for it. To say that the mouthpiece is worth more or less than that is
silly, because that is what the buyer was willing to pay.

As far as the return policy, if someone returns an ebay sale, the seller is
still out the ebay fee, which is one reason most people don't offer that
option. If the buyer doesn't like the item, he can post it on ebay himself
and sell it - and with all the hype this has generated, probably sell it for
more! It is a great mouthpiece though, and I'm sure the buyer will like it.
I have several friends who are upset with me for putting it up for auction
and not selling it to them.

Obviously, many people believe that there is something special in these old
mouthpieces, and I am one of them. If something happened to the Chicago
Kaspar I play every day, $710 would be a pittance to pay for its replacement.
