This is why I have a policy that I don't loan things out. Unfortuantely,
I still do. Last year alone I lost a small stereo Walkman recorder, a CD
of Stotzman, a book by Stubbins, and the entire Clarinet Quartet No. 3 by
Crusell.

You never fail to amaze me with your seemingly boundless knowledge on every
subject whatsoever, as well as your willingness to share your intellect and
experiences. I hope you can enlighten me on the following topics:

1) Who's the greatest clarinetist in the Democratic Republic of
the Congo? Has the answer to this question changed since Laurent Kabilla
violently took over the country and changed its name from Zaire? When
visiting there, where should a clarinetist go for the best cotton swabs?
Silk?

2) What's the magic tactic Israel's Prime Minister Ehud Barak
should use to limit settlement activity in the West Bank, make Palestinians
happy, and still get support from religious factions in his coalition, all at
the same time?

3) Which is a greater work of Early Renaissance Italian
literature--Boccaccio's "Decameron" or Dante's "Divine Comedy"? Please
compare the two works using both Kantian and Paglian aesthestic arguments.

4) Eastern Orthodox Christianity, Shi'i Islam or Zen
Buddhism--which is the one true faith?

5) Applying Einstein's theories on chaos to the sports world,
one deduces that the Cubs will win the pennant again at some point in the
future. Please give me the exact year, so I can advance-order World Series
tickets. If you disagree with Einstein, please demonstrate why his theory is
wrong (of course, I assume you will have such an argument refereed in
appropriate academic fashion before publishing it on the clarinet list).

6) What's the best burger joint in each of Australia's six
states? In the Northern Territory? Please include addresses and phone
numbers.

7) Please provide a personal/psychological profile of yourself,
explaining your immense knowledge on everything on the planet, and your
boundless enthusiasm for propounding on everything to everybody.
