Mike,

I have recently purchased the 5RV Lyre 13. The Jury is still out on this
mouthpiece. The regular 5RV plays much sharper than the Lyre 13.
The Lyre 13 (Profile 88) does seem to have a "darker" quality to its
sound but does not seem to be as vibrant. Also the throat tones on
the Lyre R13 seem to be flat. My teacher wants me to try the 5RV Lyre.
She thinks that it may be able to provide the darker sound of the 13 with
the vibrance of the 5RV. Please note that all terms, such as: darker, vibrant
etc. are all subject to interpretation.

Hope that helps some.

By the way, I live in Lilburn.
