A friend of mine borrowed a brand new Yamaha Eb (directly from Yamaha USA
or whatever they are called) for a performance of the Mahler Second
Symphony a few weeks ago. She said it was wonderful but also $4500. I
hope this was a list price.

Subject: [kl] Comparing new Eb Clarinets

Does anyone out there have any thoughts on who's putting out the best Eb
clarinets now? I hear good things about the Buffet RC bore, and the newer

Yamaha's.
