What has been said by Anna is all very true. I would add that one of the
first things to do is find a good teacher in your area. Somebody who is going
to motivate and challenge you. Your father will notice your effort and
progress. Try to find a teacher who gives you the support that you might not
have at home. If you really want to do what you have in mind, do it with
conviction and don't give it up, you might regret it later in your life.
