I remember briefly getting to study some Marcellus mouthpieces
belonging to a student of Mr. Marcellus (this was back in 1987 or so,
maybe a little earlier.) As I recall, the older Marcellus mouthpiece he
had, which was one of the very first ones, had more of a scooped baffle,
whereas on the newer one, the baffle was fairly straight all the way
down. I know that this is vague, but the best way to explain this would
be to draw a picture, and I can't do that on e-mail.
