Thank you for your candid comments. However, before I unsubscribe
from the klarinet list today, I just wanted to share a few points with you.
The many hours that I have spent these last few weeks on the Klarinet list,
answering technical questions regarding repairs, tuning, timbre, undercutting
ect., was done without malice or a hidden agenda. The proven tuning
techniques that Hans Moennig used were almost lost in time. I took great
pride in documenting and sharing this great man's work at NO Charge.
This large amount of time that I spent writing these Moennig postings
would have been quite a bit more profitable if I had used it to restore an
Oboe, Bassoon, or Clarinet. A Moennig vent tube is $40.00. A bassoon overhaul
is $1500.00. Have you witnessed me soliciting any repair work these last few
weeks? I have enough work in my repair shop right now to last me for Two
years.
I am sorry that you feel that I am Close-minded. Would you please
advise me how to Unsubscribe from the klarinet list?
