Subj: [kl] "Kaspar-like" mouthpieces and copies
Date: Thu, 27 May 1999 14:45:54 -0400

I'll make a fool of myself (I seem to be in good company) and ask a =
novice's question:
What is a Kaspar supposed to sound like? What are the qualities of design =
and sound involved here? Gregory Smith wrote (and I believe I quote him =
quite accurately) that older Marcellus M08 and M13 mouthpieces were the =
most "Kaspar-like" he had played up until that time. Can someone dispel =
the mystery? I note Charles Bay's copy of a Kaspar 13 currently on the =
eBay auction (my birthday is July 27). What's it all about? I don't earn =
enough money to ever know from firsthand experience.
