Kevin,
Where do you live. It's nice to pick up the clarinets in person. This
way you can have some things tweeked to your liking before you take
delivery. I like Brannen (when I lived in Wisconsin) and now I go to Tim
Clark (since I'm in Columbus). Both I highly reccomend - warning - both are
not cheap but it is worth it.
Why do you want to silver plate the keys?
