I guess you've not read the blurbs on the Leblanc site. _Careful_
reading would show that at least some endorsements are not exclusive:

"Internationally hailed clarinetist and recording artist Eddie Daniels
plays and endorses the Leblanc France Concerto as his instrument of
choice."

"One of the most talented and respected clarinet artists in the
world-principal clarinetist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Larry
Combs-was immediately taken with Leblanc's flagship model, the Opus, now
endorses it and plays it as his standard instrument."

Both these statements leave plenty of wiggle room. Ricardo playing the
Buffet basset clarinet at ClarinetFest (why couch it in other than
direct terms - Ricardo wasn't ashamed) may not have been in violation of
any part of his contract. I don't know.
