I couldn't imagine playing the clarinet without sandpaper really handy. I =
keep four grits going, and sand reeds through each of the grits prior to =
playing (light sanding). I've tried playing reeds right from my reed =
holder, skipping the sandpaper. It's like trying to quit smoking (which I =
did do, by the way).
