For really fine sandpaper check out a hardware store- particularly if they also have customers doing body work. I picked up several sheets of wet/dry that are either 600 or 800 if memory serves. I, like several others, use the wet/dry when I'm using it for reeds. Regular sandpaper will quickly disintegrate if you happen to use it on a wet reed. This said if you're also doing knife or file work do it before you sand- the sandpaper gradually loses the grit- some of which stays in whatever you're sanding. That abrasive is great for rapidly dulling any type of edge that you put on the blade.
