Bill, to be fair, they did think that the standard metal thumbrest had a
different hole set. I think they just didn't want to do it. They don't
like my "out of the ordinary" requests! It's a plastic clarinet that
the student plans to play for a long time. I'm not impressed by their
value argument. Perhaps the price was justified.
