How about finding a new repairman? A standard thumbrest for a Leblanc or
Selmer product runs under $5.00 retail. Buffets shouldn't be much
different. If it uses the same screw holes as the plastic one, it is a two
minute job to replace. On the other hand, if the B-12 plastic thumbrest
uses DIFFERENT hole spacing, the extra effort and extra holes caused by
re-drilling may justify BOTH his price and caution about value.
