Subj: [kl] New excerpts up on Sneezy
Date: Sat, 22 May 1999 16:52:48 -0400

Sherman Friedland, one of the earliest sponsors of Sneezy.Org, has
allowed me to put up some excerpts from his CDs. Sherman's recordings
deal primarily with contemporary music, but there's a few older pieces
thrown in. Here's what he let me put up:

John Bavicchi: Quintet for clarinet and string quartet - Amabile/Allegre
non troppo (about half of it)
Johannes Brahms: Geistliches Wiegenlied (Lullaby for the Christ Child) -
entire piece
Max Bruch: 8 Pieces for Viola, Clarinet, and Piano, Op. 83 - Andante.
Aaron Copland: Sonata for clarinet and piano (1943) - Opening of the
first movement
Jean Coulthard: Gardens - The Royal Gardens
Jan T. Jarczyk: Four Pieces for Clarinet Solo (1986) - Presto vivace;
volante and Rubato largement2
Darius Milhaud: Suite pour violon, clarinette et piano - Jeux (It is on
the A clarinet, which is hardly ever used)

They can all be accessed via http://www.sneezy.org/sherman_friedland

These are for your enjoyment. If you want to keep them permanently - go
ahead. If you end up wanting to buy the CDs - so much the better :^)

Cheers,
----
