Reaching out to my clarinet buddies and hoping for some answers. I have a lot
of old vinyl that I would like to transfer to CDs. How do I go about it? What
equipment will I need? What software can I use to clean up the pops? I'm a Mac
man. Some of my records have been taped to a casset format, but of course all
the pops and scratches are recorded with the same fidelity as when I play them
in LP format on my turntable. Even suggestions about what brands of CD
burners, etc., will be welcome info.

Maybe you could also direct me to another newsgroup that deals with the HiFi
stuff or computer manipulated music editing.

All suggestions and info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks RB
