Subj: [kl] First Chair LPs

I have two of the three Columbia First Chair LPs: First Chair, with AMG
playing the Concertino (check out the pic of AMG on the album!)and First
Chair Encores (no clarinet), with a mention of Volume II in progress.
I assume Vol. II contains the Debussy. Anybody own it? Incidentally,
the Los Angeles Philharmonic produced its own "Philharmonic Solo!" LP in
1975, with Michelle Zukovsky doing the Weber (fast!), with Mehta (London
CS-6967)
I'm listening as I write this to the Gigliotti Weber cut on a pair of
earphones. Still pretty clean for a record that old. For those of you
into burning CDs, Easy CD Creator, Deluxe Edition, has a program called
CD Spin Doctor which is really effective at cleaning up old LPs. I'll
try to burn a copy of the First Chair LP and let the list know of the
results.
