Just another suggestion...

I've recently known two young people (one is my daughter), both with
gradually strengthening embouchures, who were trying to use mouthpieces with
a very closed tip. They were playing with reeds that were too soft for the
mps and both players were starting to experience frequent squeaking. The
problem vanished when they began using a more open mpc. I inherited my
daughter's (closed tip) mpc and found it to be very squeaky with a 2.5 but
just brilliant with a 3.5 reed.

Maybe, Leah, your chops are getting stronger and you need to rethink your
reed/mpc combination?
